At the heart of the Head of Doom is a comprehensive 9 band EQ, featuring Bass, Middle and Treble controls alongside six graphic sliders for precise tonal shaping. The Sub Harmonic generator adds a deep octave below your played notes, creating immense low-end weight and authority. The dedicated Doom control introduces adjustable harmonic distortion via a 12AX7 preamp valve, allowing you to dial in everything from subtle grit to full blown saturation. This can be engaged and controlled via footswitch for seamless live performance control.

A defining visual and functional feature is the inclusion of twin VU meters, a first for an Ashdown amplifier, offering real time output monitoring while adding undeniable stage presence. With dual instrument inputs for passive and active basses, extensive connectivity including tuner output, line out, effects loop and dual Jack and Speakon speaker outputs, the Head of Doom is designed for total flexibility.
