The result is a sound that is not only more powerful, but also rounder and fuller than with single-coil pickups, making it a perfect match for higher distortion levels. By design, these pickups are also less susceptible to hum and interference from other electrical devices near the instrument. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, while the 3-way selector switch allows you to choose between the bridge pickup (for more aggressive tones), the neck pickup (for richer bass), or a blend of both in the middle position.
